Tu historia, a tu manera.

It is a workspace for long work: you build your book as a tree of folders and pages instead of one endless file, so you can move a chapter, split a scene, or read the whole structure at a glance. It is not built for novels alone — you choose the kind of work you are writing, from a novel, a non-fiction book, a research project, a textbook, a collection of articles, a screenplay, or a memoir, and the platform follows that choice.
Yes, and it does not expire. The free plan gives you three books, up to a hundred pages in each, the whole editor, the free AI models, and export to HTML, Markdown and plain text. Paid plans remove the book and page limits, add a monthly allowance on the paid AI models, keep more of each page's history, and unlock the publishing formats. Prices are adjusted to the purchasing power of your country, so what you see is what applies where you live.
Your text is yours. We do not train any model on your book, we do not sell it, and we do not show it to anyone. What the assistant reads is sent to the model only to answer the request you made, and only the part of the book you pointed it at. Your export is always available, so nothing you write is locked inside the platform.
No, and it is not meant to. The assistant sits beside the editor and reads what you point it at — the whole book, one chapter, or the page you are on — so its answer is about your text rather than a generic one. It can summarise, question a plot, suggest a direction, or write a passage when you ask it to; and every line it writes is marked as its own, with the previous version of the page kept, so you can always tell your writing from its suggestion and go back.
Yes to both. You pick the model, the temperature, the writing style and the standing instructions for each book separately, because a research project is not addressed the way a novel is. And if you already have an OpenRouter key, you can plug it in and use any model it reaches, billed by them and not counted against any allowance here.
In any browser, in the desktop app for macOS, Windows and Linux, and on Android — an iPhone app is on the way. The desktop app keeps your books on the device, so you can read and write with no connection at all; what you wrote waits in a queue and goes up the moment you are back online.
Yes. You can import Word files (.docx and .doc), RTF, Markdown, HTML and plain text, up to 50MB each, and the headings, formatting and embedded images come over with the text. A PDF or an EPUB is not turned into editable text; those you attach in the research folder as a reference beside the book.
Ten, and the whole book comes out in its right order with its images. HTML, Markdown and plain text are open to everyone; Word, PDF and EPUB come with a paid plan; and RTF, ODT, LaTeX and Final Draft (FDX) come with the top plan. Right-to-left text is shaped and joined properly in the PDF, which is the file most people hand to a printer.
Yes. Every page keeps a history you can read and restore, and a snapshot is taken before the assistant writes into it, so an AI edit is never a one-way door. The free plan reaches the five most recent versions of a page and the paid plans reach all of them; and if you move to a cheaper plan nothing already saved is deleted — you simply reach less of it.
Write in any language you like — the editor, the book tree and the exported files all follow the direction of your own text. Right-to-left was the starting point rather than something adapted later, and the interface itself comes in twenty languages, eight of which run right to left.
Yes, on the top plan. Writer Atlas runs an MCP server, so any tool that speaks MCP — Claude, Cursor, VS Code and others — can read your book and write into it from where you already work. You issue the token yourself, you decide whether it may write or only read, and you revoke it whenever you want.
You cancel yourself, in one click, and you keep the paid plan until the period you already paid for ends. Nothing you wrote is deleted or locked: every book and every page stays readable and editable, the limits only apply to creating something new, and your export stays open so you can take the whole book with you.
