By using Writer Atlas ("the Service"), you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Account & Security
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
2. Intellectual Property
Your content belongs to you. Writer Atlas does not claim any ownership rights over the manuscripts, characters, notes, or any other content you create using our platform. You retain full copyright and intellectual property rights to all your creative work.
We only use your content to provide the service (storage, sync, export, etc.).
3. Subscriptions & Billing
- Access to certain features requires a paid subscription.
- All payments are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. By subscribing, you also agree to the payment provider's terms of service.
- Our payment provider handles all billing, invoicing, and applicable tax (VAT/Sales Tax) calculations based on your location.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for details.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purposes.
- Attempt to interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
- Share your account credentials with others.
- Use automated tools to scrape or access the service in unauthorized ways.
5. Service Availability
We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible.
6. Data & Content
- We regularly back up your data, but we recommend you also maintain your own backups using our export features.
- If your account is deleted, your content will be permanently removed after a 30-day grace period.
7. Limitation of Liability
Writer Atlas is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through the platform. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
